We’ve also worked with Shopify Plus certified partners, like Klaviyo and Gorgias, to develop integrations to provide merchants with holistic views of their customers, seamlessly offer warranties within existing post-purchase flows, and drive profitable revenue.
To gain a deeper understanding of what this achievement means for Clyde and its merchants, we sat down with Ashley Hildreth, our VP of Business Development & Partnerships.
How did Clyde come to work with Shopify?
Shopify has done an incredible job creating a community of developers that build apps and plugins to platforms that help their merchants streamline and grow their business. Since Clyde's platform exists to do just that through product protection, registration, and issue resolution, joining the Shopify ecosystem allowed merchants to start working with Clyde in just a few keystrokes. That frictionless experience is wonderful for our merchants.
How would you characterize the certification process surrounding Shopify Plus inclusion?
Clyde is leading a wave of new solutions that are disrupting the way in which businesses offer, manage, and support their warranty operations and we're excited to be breaking ground as a new category in Product Warranty with Shopify. Businesses of all sizes choose to work with Clyde and we had taken notice that our solution had been resonating particularly well with Shopify Plus merchants.
The vetting process itself was detailed, thorough, and comprehensive. They take into account your app security, stability, data compliance, reporting, up-time thresholds, and the level of merchant support you provide, as well as the total number of merchants you support. Passing the rigorous levels of scrutiny required for this program announces our arrival as a major player, not only in the warranty space but also as a tech company as a whole. Being admitted to the Shopify Plus Partner Directory also demonstrates to merchants that we’ve invested in both our technology and our team in such a way that we can support them at scale – we’re dedicated to building a best in class solution for our customers and entering the Shopify Plus Certified App Program is a badge of honor for the Clyde team. We'll wear it with pride as we continue to expand our participation within the Shopify community.
What does this certification signal to the eCommerce market for Clyde?
This accreditation will open doors for us, specifically amongst enterprise companies within Shopify Plus. Through a consultative process, we can strategize with our enterprise merchants, helping them scale their business. These companies oftentimes require custom solutions and turn to Shopify Plus certified apps to help them solve those unique business challenges. As a company, we provide turnkey functionality for brands looking to quickly and easily launch warranty programs, but as we have evolved into an ownership enrichment platform we have evolved our capabilities and level of support to solve a host of challenges (registration, customer service). This certification provides us with the opportunity to discuss the enhanced functionality and customization that Clyde is now offering to merchants both large and small.
